My Role

While my primary focus at FilmTrack was on the flagship product and design system, I also contributed to RoyaltyZone, helping to enhance its branding and feature set. My role involved collaborating with the lead product manager to scope and design new product features, ensuring they aligned with user needs, business goals, and FilmTrack’s broader design vision.

By refining RoyaltyZone’s branding and UX, I helped enhance user experience, functionality, and visual consistency, making it a more intuitive and scalable platform for licensing professionals.

Project Process

Designing for RoyaltyZone required a structured, collaborative approach to ensure alignment between product, design, and development teams while maintaining efficiency. To streamline the workflow and improve cross-functional communication, I followed a two-step design process, moving from low-fidelity alignment to high-fidelity execution.

Low-Fidelity Alignment – Early Collaboration & Concept Validation

Before diving into high-fidelity designs, I worked closely with the lead product manager and stakeholders to align on feature scope and functionality using:

  • Wireframes & Sketches: Quick, low-fidelity wireframes to visualize structure and layout.

  • Cross-Functional Meetings: Collaborated with PMs and engineers early in the process to validate feasibility and scope before refining designs.

  • Feedback & Iteration: Gathered input from stakeholders and made rapid adjustments before committing to high-fidelity work.

This early alignment phase helped reduce rework and ensured that every feature met both business requirements and user needs before investing time in detailed UI design.

High-Fidelity Designs & Interactive Prototypes

Once we finalized core functionality and structure, I transitioned designs into Figma, where I:

  • Created pixel-perfect, high-fidelity UI designs that matched FilmTrack’s updated design system.

  • Built interactive Figma prototypes to simulate user interactions, demonstrating key workflows for testing and stakeholder buy-in.

  • Conducted design reviews & usability testing, refining flows based on real user feedback.

  • Delivered fully spec’d UI components, ensuring seamless developer handoff.

By combining early alignment through low-fidelity designs with detailed high-fidelity prototypes, I ensured that RoyaltyZone’s new features were user-friendly, well-tested, and efficiently executed.

Key Features

Asset Module

One of my key contributions to RoyaltyZone was designing the Asset Module, a system that enabled clients to categorize, organize, and search for brand assets efficiently. This feature was essential for licensors and brand managers, providing them with a structured way to store, retrieve, and manage their digital brand elements.
